New ride at work. It is a GEM car. It is a replacement for our John Deer Gator that we had and it’s fully electric. Top speed of 25mph with a 30 mile range. I drove it around and it seems alright and more than enough for hauling some equipment around campus.

Here is another photo of the Corvette but this time there is an Elise in the background. There is something about Coolidge Park that draws me in to take photos there.

At least they won’t tell on you if you’re one of those people who like to test the limit of your high performance car. I have a TomTom but I don’t have one that does the IQ routes. It would be nice to have the IQ routes sometimes, well at least until there is a way that it will tell on you when you hit that straight stretch of road and the car just begs to have its legs stretched.
If you have a TomTom, the eye in the sky has been watching you and tracking your interstate speeds over the past two years. Don’t worry, TomTom isn’t going nark you out – it’s tracking the data from its Speed Profiles program to help fleet drivers find the fastest routes around the nation.

While reading forums I came across a link to http://www.kenrockwell.com/. I poked around and realized this site has a lot of good reviews on camera gear as well as tips to help you take better photos. I thought I would share this link, I know I will be reading the write ups posted in the near future.

The Miata rolled over 80,000 miles the other day. It is sad that I’ve been putting so many miles on her but the enjoyment of driving the car makes up for most of that. I no longer consider her to have low miles. I bought the car with just under 63,000 miles a couple of years ago so I’ve put about 17,000 miles on her. I know if I continue to treat her right I will have many more miles of enjoyment, well that is if Phil Thach (423-303-1333) at Gray Epperson in Cleveland, TN doesn’t call me up with a killer deal on a 3rd generation Mia…..um…. I mean MX-5.
Please excuse the dusty dash as it has been too cold to clean the car. First nice day where I have the time I will be going through and giving the interior a good cleaning.

This guy was riding up I-94 in Wisconsin. We were going about 70mph and he was staying ahead. The roads were slick and it was extremely windy. I think it would have been a good day to look into alternative transportation.

I went to the Chicago Botanic Garden today with my family to check out their huge exibit. Trains ran everywhere and the buildings were built from natural resources. There were many replicas of well known places throughout Chicago and the trains running through it all made me want to go out and buy my own set to play with. It was a good exibit and if you are in the area I would recommend that you go check it out.
