They are not good when natural disasters happen. Posting your work on wordpress and having a place to put all your work is a good idea. Next year I am taking a class on building an on-line portfolio and should hopefully learn a few tricks along the way. I am not sure what platform I will be using, but it should be interesting.

I got tired of it and just made a blog at wordpress to post photos but I kept the website along with the storage because I had everything there.

How do you back up your files? I am looking into different options now because I realize that things like zip drives, CD’s and hard drives can be destroyed. I feel like its harder when you have files that are Illustrator, PhotoShop, etc. Jpegs are a lot easier to back up because you can just throw them on Flickr or a digital dropbox. I am wondering how many people nowadays use FTP sites.
