Due to the cold conditions I didn’t stay long. From the reports I heard that everyone had a good time. This was the last race at the Auto Auction site and they made good use of the space. I managed to get photos of the first run group but left before the second started. If you were in the second group I’m sorry I didn’t get any photos. Photos are up and available by clicking here or like always you can click the link on the left to view all my photo galleries including past races.

It was a wet day at the Chattanooga Auto Auction but that didn’t stop 3 beautiful cars from coming out to play. They didn’t have tops but I don’t think it matters when you are racing. Fully gallery from the race can be seen here.
The Miata turned 90,000 miles while on a run to get a couple 12 packs of Coke. Only 10,000 more miles until the car is starting to finally get broken in. I can’t really call it a low mileage car like it was when I got it but in reality it has gone just under 7,000 miles a year which is pretty low for a car these days. I’m planning on a trip from Chattanooga to Houston in the future and I will most likely be taking the Miata so 100,000 miles isn’t that far off for this car.
She isn’t a perfect car but she still looks good and as little as I drive I know the miles won’t rack up too fast but it’s a Miata and it was built to be driven so I won’t worry too much about how many miles are on the car but I will worry about where I haven’t driven to yet.
The weather was great, the course was fast and there was one cone that took a beating. As you can see in the picture to the left some were even flexing their muscles in order to scare the competition but I’m unsure if fright was the response that came from the flexing. It was a great day to race or watch and there were some cool cars. like the Viper.
If you haven’t come out before you should, if you wanted to come out but couldn’t make it and want to see some photos from the event visit the gallery of photos from today’s race. If you want to see all my photos click the link to my galleries on the left.
The Miata is a great all around car. It is fun to drive hard and not a pain to drive every day. The grill on the current models are a great indication of how you will look after driving one. If you haven’t driven a Miata yet I suggest you find someone that has one and talk them into letting you take it out for a drive and you could have a smile on your face as big as the car.
April Fool’s Solo photos are up. The gallery can be viewed here or by clicking the gallery link on the left side of the page.

The Miata rolled over 80,000 miles the other day. It is sad that I’ve been putting so many miles on her but the enjoyment of driving the car makes up for most of that. I no longer consider her to have low miles. I bought the car with just under 63,000 miles a couple of years ago so I’ve put about 17,000 miles on her. I know if I continue to treat her right I will have many more miles of enjoyment, well that is if Phil Thach (423-303-1333) at Gray Epperson in Cleveland, TN doesn’t call me up with a killer deal on a 3rd generation Mia…..um…. I mean MX-5.
Please excuse the dusty dash as it has been too cold to clean the car. First nice day where I have the time I will be going through and giving the interior a good cleaning.
The weather was less than ideal but the cars raced. Here are a couple of photos of the police shootout that was run just before the autocross. Photos are here or by clicking the link for my photo galleries to see all the photos from the race.
