This is my Nikon D200 that was in my room when the house burned. Room was a total loss. I think the camera stood up pretty well to the extreme heat and was directly exposed to fire. The lens was fused to the body and the lens cap was fused to the lens.
While reading forums I came across a link to http://www.kenrockwell.com/. I poked around and realized this site has a lot of good reviews on camera gear as well as tips to help you take better photos. I thought I would share this link, I know I will be reading the write ups posted in the near future.
