This little guy caught a free ride on a co-worker’s shirt as we walked to lunch.

Watching a video where a car was doing a hill climb and got up on 2 wheels reminded me of this photo I took back in 2008. This was at the Crow Mountain Hill Climb. If you haven’t been to one before I suggest you check one out and the one at Crow Mountain is coming up October 2nd and 3rd. I’m thinking of headed to Crow Mountain for at least one of the days with my camera gear in tow.
Well since it was mother’s day and my mother is 660 miles away I decided to go out and enjoy the nice weather by myself. I started off in the Bluff View Art District with a coffee from Rembrants. From there I walked over the the Walnut Street Bridge and made my way across. I then walked down Fraizer Street over to the Renaissance Park. From there I walked across the bridge there into Coolidge Park. I then made my way back up to Fraizer Street and walked across the Market Street Bridge back towards the art district. I made a stop at The Ice Cream Show for a milk shake before heading back to my car to go back home. Here are some photos I took along the way.
Couple of wind surfers. I can’t remember exactly where this was but it was somewhere in the middle of Harrison Bay. There sure was enough wind for them.
The photos are processed and available by clicking here. The choppy waters made it difficult to shoot and out of 488 I kept less than half due to being blurry or the boat was only half in the frame and there were even a few shots of just water. It was a fun experience and shooting boats from another boat is challenging. I’m starting to realize that shooting cars on a track going 100+mph is a lot easier than shooting a lot of other things.
I’ll make a deal for anyone ordering a boat photo. Order a 11×14 or larger and I’ll e-mail a high res file to the e-mail address they ask you for when ordering. Remember to click check cropping on the size you want to make sure it isn’t going to cut off the photo funny.
While reading forums I came across a link to http://www.kenrockwell.com/. I poked around and realized this site has a lot of good reviews on camera gear as well as tips to help you take better photos. I thought I would share this link, I know I will be reading the write ups posted in the near future.
